I'm going crazy! By: Sara

Today is Tuesday, July 8. I have been away from Joe for the past week....AAAGH! I have been visiting my family, and I have had a WONDERFUL time! But-I miss Joe. And I am very excited because I get to see him tomorrow.....YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!

Anyway-to brag more about my husband's wonderfulness, while I've been having much needed family bonding time here in Texas and Louisiana.....where, by the way, IT'S HOT......Joe has been working on our upstairs bathroom. If you have seen our upstairs bathroom, you know it is a vast improvement. Also, he reglazed the tub! No more nasty tub.He did this without me asking as a surprise for our anniversary...here are a couple of pics...LOVE IT! And LOVE HIM!

Hope you are having a great summer- I am!

Praise the Lord!

To keep you updated....VBS started yesterday...and we had 110 kids show up! This undoubtedly is God's work and blessing in Littleton! This is an amazing number of children that will hear the truth of Jesus Christ, many of them for the first time. It is also an amazing number considering that we aren't a very big church! Pray that God continues to bless and that many children will come to know the Lord-and GROW in Him.
I know that this comes from God blessing our church's and Joe's faithfulness in continuing to reach out to the community. We also have amazingly wonderful and passionate children's workers.
Just because I know he wouldn't do this-I am going to brag about my husband. He is really following God's direction and really working hard and just really a great example of being passionate about what you are doing. I love him so much and I am SO proud of him.

I LOVE sisters!

We have a group here this week from Utah helping us do community outreach. Because of a series of unfortunate events the group that has come is just one family. The dad is Stan, the mom, Karen, and the rest is 4 girls: Stephanie, Jenny, Melissa, and Christina. Theyare staying at our house and I LOVE THEM! Joe and I always go back and forth because when we have kids he wants all boys and I want all girls (like our own families) but after hanging out with this family I want all girls again...definitely....they are so funny and great. We are really blessed to have them. They have such servants hearts...two of the girls will be summer missionaries this summer-as high schoolers-they are a really neat family, and a great example of living their life, boldly sharing the gospel of Christ.

Anyway, VBS is next week, and we (especially Joe) is running around like crazy to get this done...so, just be in prayer for the kiddos who will be here, that the gospel will be shared and lives will be changed!
Have a great week!

Time for a break....well, not really

It is now definitely summer for me. Joe and I are getting ready for Vacation Bible School, vacations, and other summer events. I am now out of school and taking summer classesHopefully I am still on track to graduate in December. I say hopefully because the last month has been really up and down with schedule. Let's just put it this way, I will always choose a small school over a big, state school from now on. The smaller schools are always willing to work with you and actually care about you as opposed to schools the University of Colorado whose professors are more concerned about their publications, research and other such things. But it seems to have worked itself out.
We are glad to have the kitchen done.....well, its getting there. Still waiting on a couple of things.
Hmmm....what else....I'm not really inspired to write too much today. Just wanted all to know that we are getting better about blogging and hopefully we still have readers out there!

I Can't Believe It's Done!!!!

So our kitchen remodel is finally done! That's pretty unreal to say after 6 months of limbo. I learned a host of lessons: primarily being that I really SUCK at drywall but I ROCK at tiling! So there ya go, need something tiled, call me. Need drywall and texturing done, call anyone else! The before and after pictures are below: Enjoy

Six Months Later....

So, since Sara walked her feet off in June, things have seemed to go by at light speed. She's getting lined up to graduate from the University of Colorado this coming December! We've been remodeling our kitchen which has taken virtually every minute of my time that's not spent at church, but its almost at completion. (Pictures will follow) And, we've just enjoying life. Things are great at KCBC! Every month that goes by affirms our call here and God's desire for us to be in Colorado. Sara has started teaching full-time (on top of grad school) at Sheridan Green Elementary. She likes the staff and school and of course abslutely ROCKS! Baxter is himself, Spastic and Lazy all in one. How a dog manages that combination, I have no idea. So, that's the quick version. Hopefully, we'll be following up with some pic posts real quick, like tonight, to further update things!

Avon Walk for Breast Cancer

Well, I did it! The Avon Walk is over-and besides a few blisters and soreness I am SO glad I did this. It was a wonderful experience that I will never forget. Besides reaching my own fundraising goal-the Denver walkers raised 2.3 million dollars for breast cancer research and patient care! Here are only a few pics of the whole experience!
